Artstone Products Were Used in “Watergarden Istanbul” Project

Artstone products took part in the Watergarden Istanbul Project completed by Ziylan Group in Ataşehir and designed by Dutch company T Concept. Venue organisation and interior design projects were taken on by Gorkem Volkan Design Studio(GDVS). There are more than 150 independent units in the 166.000 sqm of gastronomy, entertainment and cultural center project. The project includes a city park of 15.000 sqm harbouring a mini golf area, an “extreme park” and a playground, a nostalgia street which has brands with at least 50 years of past located in, an  organic bazaar(open 7 days a week). There also is a cinema complex with 11 halls, an event area of 4 thousand sqm which can be used as an open-air-cinema as well, theatre hall, entertainment clubs, a culinary arts academy serving for both children and adults, a sports center, a bowling hall, playgrounds and a kindergarten. Watergarden Istanbul also plays a key role in increasing Istanbul’s competitive power in becoming one of the world’s leading trademarks with all the gastronomy and entertainment brands it gathered. Watergarden Istanbul is located in Ataşehir, Istanbul, next to International Trade Center-Istanbul.

Artstone products garnished the columns and the ceiling vaults in the “organic bazaar” area. On the surfaces,Gorkem Volkan Design Studio(GDVS) chose products such as perforated metal, timber, brick and concrete coverings which all would contact the least with the current structure and would not force the building during neither the installation nor the exchanging processes. Especially the organic bazaar area was tackled in the first steps of the design process. With the material, texture, color, ratio selections, the object was to give the users the sense that this area was there all along before even the whole operation. Chosen from among our products, Ladrillo Loft Multicolor was used as vault coverings and Hormigon Plus Grey was used as column coverings. Also the project-specific product development was provided in a very short time and nearly 3.000 sqm of surface covering implementation was conceded in 3 weeks only.
